Our Approach


Working towards the goal that all children are healthy, thriving socially and emotionally, and developing on track to achieve reading proficiency by the end of third grade.

The Dunbar Learning Complex’s approach is comprehensive; it includes strategies and supports around teaching, evidence building, health, parent education, and the overall learning environment. We believe that if children are born healthy, thriving at three, ready for school by five, and reading to learn by eight, they will graduate high school and go on to be successful as adults. Leaders and staff embed these goals throughout the whole Complex.
